Rockville Centre’s Church of the Ascension will host its 24th Friendship Fair on Oct. 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The event was founded in 1975 and comes to the village every other year. It offers a wide range of goods and a silent auction featuring art, jewelry, furniture and collectables. Gifts for sale include home decor, crafts, antiques, furniture, toys, holiday items and more.

“We are so excited to once again host our popular biennial Friendship Fair,” the fair’s Steering Committee member Judi Broadhurst said. “This year we’ve collected a tremendous variety of items for sale in numerous departments, and our silent auction is bigger and better than ever. There’s definitely something for everyone. Outdoor tent dining is being featured to keep our customers and parishioners as safe as possible from Covid-19.”

Volunteers donated many of the items for sale. In addition to being housed in the Parish Hall, the fair will also feature pop-up mini markets around the perimiter of the building and all funds raised with go toward the church.

There will also be food and baked goods for purchase, a full coffee bar and the fair will feature the grand re-opening of “Shop at Ascension,” which will offer goods, such as vintage items and gift baskets. It was closed for many months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The church is at 71 North Village Ave. For more information, call (516) 766-0693.
