RVC residents ate, shopped and rocked

The fifth annual Eat. Shop. Rock, took place on Sunday on the streets of Rockville Centre, where hundreds of residents enjoyed games, dance performances and live music while perusing vendor booths and visiting local restaurants. The weather was hot and sunny, with the temperature reaching 81 degrees, a gorgeous day to be outside enjoying the free event, sponsored by the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce.

The entertainment was once again provided on two stages: The School of Rock hosted live music throughout the afternoon with students from the schools based in Rockville Centre and Huntington, and The Elite Dance Centre held various dance performances. While adults indulged in the eating and shopping, there was also plenty of activities to keep the kids busy in the Kids Zone, including a bowling alley from Maple Lanes, bounce houses, games and crafts from the Rolling River Day Camp.

With the streets closed, many restaurants were able to provide outdoor seating, allowing customers to enjoy their meals while experiencing the street fair. The newly opened Breakfast Club held a pancake-eating contest, attracting an enthusiastic crowd. Other vendors included Accent on Eyes, Coquette, CrossFit Seize the Day, Hue Studio Arts, Inc., Lucky Finds Boutique, Pipeline Coffee Company, Press 195, Revolution Yoga, Shop Sweetness, Tazzetto Coffee, The Flour Shoppe Bakery and Village Cheese Merchant.
