Shulamith girls cheer for the fundraisers

Shulamith High School students served as motivators for participants in the “Tuff Goes Pink” fundraiser that collected nearly $5,000 for Sharsharet at the Woodmere Fitness Club on Oct. 29. Sharsheret supports Jewish women with breast cancer and raises awareness about the disease.

Members of the school’s track and field team were on hand to motivate the competitors in the Ultimate Fit Female Challenge. The students counted repetitions for the competitors and cheered them on to their goals.

“Our girls were unbelievable!,” said track and field coach Raina Butler, adding the school was proud to take part in the event. “Their spirit, decorum and motivation was just amazing. It was really a perfect reflection of what Shulamith represents.”
