Nassau County Police are investigating a car accident that killed a 46-year-old man on Monday morning.
According to a report from the Nassau County Homicide Squad, the fatal, three-car accident occurred on Jan. 10 in Levittown.
At approximately 9:32 a.m., the 46-year-old man was driving a Dodge Ram northbound on Wantagh Avenue when his car flipped over, hitting a curb and fence.
The vehicle then allegedly collided with two other vehicles that were stopped in traffic, faced westbound on Red Maple Drive North, according to the report. As a result of the collision, the 46-year-old was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased by a physician.
The two other vehicles involved were a Ford F150, driven by a 60-year-old woman, and a Honda Odyssey, operated by a 24-year-old man, according to the report. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
