Posted

Tamie Kranis, owner of Creative Business Alternatives in Merrick, was recently honored by Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg during Women’s History Month. The 14th Annual Trailblazers Awards ceremony was held at the Legislative Chamber in Mineola in March. Kranis has been a certified public accountant since 1992, and specializes in helping businesses thrive through her knowledge of accounting and entrepreneurship. Additionally, she supports numerous youth sports leagues, has taken on various school volunteer positions, served as a Girl Scout troop leader and is currently a board member of Temple Beth Am of Merrick. In 2011, she finished the New York City Marathon in memory of her husband, who lost a courageous battle with a sheared aorta and was paralyzed from the chest down. Kranis raised nearly $10,000 for the Alan T. Brown Foundation to Cure Paralysis.
