The time has come once again for Bellmore Fire District residents to choose their new commissioner on Dec. 8.
Polls will open Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bellmore Fire Department Headquarters (230 Pettit Ave.), across from the Long Island Rail Road. Two candidates are up for the top spot; the next commissioner will serve a five-year term starting Jan. 1, 2021.
Note: Only residents of the Bellmore Fire District who are registered with the Nassau County Board of Elections are eligible to vote.
