Domestic dispute arrest made in Bellmore

A woman was arrested in Bellmore on Wednesday evening following a domestic disturbance report.

According to detectives, officers responded to the report at 61 Briggs St. at 9:30 p.m. They were confronted by Erica Carlson, 46, who became irate with the officers, making numerous threats to harm them physically. When officers attempted to place her under arrest, Carlson struggled, punching and scratching an officer while attempting to remove the officers’ gun from its holster.

She was eventually placed into custody. The officer was transported to a local hospital with hand injuries. Carlson was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Carlson is charged with third-degree robbery (attempt), second-degree harassment and resisting arrest. She will be arraigned on Thursday, May 28 in Mineola.
