An East Meadow woman was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a hit and run in Massapequa two days earlier that left an 11-year old boy with serious injuries, police said.

Max Selesky, 11, was riding a scooter with a friend on Eastgate Road when a woman in a red pick-up truck struck and dragged him for 50 feet before leaving the boy in the street, according to detectives.

The boy sustained multiple serious injuries and was transported by police to a local hospital where he was treated. News 12 reported that he suffered a concussion and will need plastic surgery after being cut up from head to toe, according to his parents.

An investigation led to Laura Nucatola, 33, of East Meadow, who is being charged with leaving the scene of an incident with serious injuries. She was first arraigned on Wednesday at the Nassau County First District Court.
