Students and faculty representing the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway (HAFTR) marched in the Celebrate Israel Parade in Manhattan last Sunday.
Considered the largest celebration of Israel, the parade was established in 1965 as thousands walked down Riverside Drive in support of the Jewish state. This year’s theme was Israel Imagines. One of HAFTR’s banner’s read “Israel … our dream comes true.”
