Hewlett Elementary School students — second- to fifth-graders- showed off their artwork at the two-hour Feb. 12 art show. Flowers, hearts, winter scenes and trees were on display in the auditorium as if the paintings were in an art gallery. There was also penguin collages by the second-graders in the nearby hallway.

Ronda Agamie and Jamie Link helped fellow parents receive their children’s framed artwork and Principal Colleen O’Hara and Assistant Principal Ross Cohen created a warm, welcoming environment. O’Hara credited art teacher Louise Edman for motivating the students and propelling them to create the paintings.
