Hewlett man arrested for burglaries in Valley Stream and East Garden City

On Sept. 19, Oct. 14 and Nov. 11, Hewlett resident Robert Ardoin is alleged have robbed an unspecified amount of money and assorted merchandise from nine stores in East Garden City and Valley Stream, Nassau County police said.

On Sept. 19, Ardoin, 40, of Frost Lane, allegedly burglarized Timberland, Claire’s Boutique, The Walking Company and Skechers, all in East Garden City in the Roosevelt Field Mall. The other alleged robberies occurred on Oct. 14, Foot Locker, also in East Garden City, in the mall; and on Nov. 11, The Depot, Chase Bank, Foot Action and Kids Foot Locker, all at the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.

Ardoin was arrested on Nov. 16 at the Roosevelt Field Mall. He is charged with nine counts of burglary third-degree. He was arraigned on Nov. 17 at First District Court in Hempstead. The Legal Aid Society of Nassau County represents Ardoin. His next court date is Nov. 20.
