Malcom Bershadsky, former Baldwin volunteer fire captain, dies

Malcom Bershadsky, of Burke, VA died on Feb. 21. He was born in Brooklyn and served as a volunteer firefighter with the Baldwin Fire Department throughout the 1970s.

He rose to the rank of captain under Chief William Werfelman. His badge number was 718.

Bershadsky was the beloved husband of Marcia Bershadsky. He is survived by his children Scott (Kimberly) Bershadsky, the late Michele Bershadsky, Stacey Bershadsky and Erica (Ken) Noe; his sibling Blossom Maleh; his grandchildren Sarah, Katie, Billy, Matthew, Eric and Lizzie; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held on Feb. 23 at King David Memorial Garden, Falls Church, Va. Shiva was observed at the late residence.
