A Few Clouds Oceanside, Island Park to host in-person Memorial Day events
The Village of Island Park will host its annual Memorial Day Parade on Saturday.
At 10 a.m., the parade will begin and then carry on until it finishes across the street from Village Hall at the Long Island Rail Road parking lot. Robert Nunez will serve as grand marshal and Bob Wilson as the master of ceremonies.
The Island Park American Legion, in partnership with the village, will host the parade. Mayor Michael McGinty and the board of trustees will be in attendance to honor heroes of the past and present who have served in the military.
Oceanside’s festivities will see the Fire Department arrive with two trucks and an honor guard for the event. The school board is also expected to be in attendance for the 11 a.m. start time at Oceanside High School.
