Police seek duo for robbery in Freeport

Nassau County Police Department’s First Squad is investigating a robbery that took place in Freeport on May 16. 

According to detectives, a 17-year-old victim was walking northbound on N. Grove Street at 9:52 p.m., in the vicinity of Randall Avenue, when two male suspects pushed him to the ground from behind. One of the men placed a hard object on the back of the victim’s head, threatening to shoot the victim. He ordered the victim to empty his pockets. The victim complied, and both men took his money and cellphone and fled in an unknown direction. 

The victim was not injured. 

Both suspects were described as being 18-19 years old.
