Police seek suspect in Freeport homicide case

The Nassau County Police Department’s Homicide Squad is investigating a homicide that occurred in Freeport on Nov. 28.

Detectives said that officers had responded to a 911 at 4:37 p.m. call for a shooting that place at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Stevens Street. When the officers arrived, they found two males victims, 21 and 19, with gunshot wounds.

The 21-year-old male was taken to a local hospital where a staff physician pronounced him deceased.

The man’s identity has not been released at the time of press.

The 19-year-old male was also transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
