The 10th reported positive Covid-19 case in the Lawrence School District was reported on Nov. 30, coming from the high school. Nov. 25, a Wednesday, was the last full day the person was in the building, Superintendent Dr. Ann Pedersen stated in a text message.
She said that close contact were notified and are “now quarantining for 14 days as per [the] Department of Health protocol.” This case comes five days after a case was reported at the Early Childhood Center. That person was last in that building on Nov. 20, district officials said.
“Each day the importance of following safety protocols remains of equal importance,” Pedersen stated in the text. “Thank you for your patience and safe practices to help keep one another safe.”
She added a reminder that should a staff member or student become sick or have Covid-like symptoms, they should remain a home.
