ProHEALTH Dental expands to Oceanside

Lake Success-based ProHEALTH Dental has expanded its medical and dental integration model into Nassau and Suffolk counties with two state-of-the-art offices in Oceanside and Bay Shore.

A new 10 operatory dental office is now open on Long Beach Road in Oceanside. The office will provide cosmetic and restorative dentistry for the whole family, as well as access to specialists who can address a full range of dental needs, including pediatrics, implants, orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics and sleep medicine.  Through this convenient “dental home” approach, the expert dentists treat patients in one location to improve continuity of care. And the new practice has its own private parking lot as an added accessibility to patients.

ProHEALTH Dental’s second location in Suffolk County opened in December 2019 in Bay Shore under Dr. Daniel Duggan of Duggan Dental Group, who has practiced in Bay Shore for many years. He merged his practice with ProHEALTH Dental to better serve his patients through coordinated medical and dental care and expanded service offerings such as addressing the needs of patients with sleep apnea.

“This partnership with ProHEALTH Dental allows us access to grow while still offering the personalized quality of care our patients have come to expect from our staff,” Dr. Duggan said in a news release.

The offices participate in most major dental plans. For patients without dental insurance, a VIP Program is available, which enables patients to pay a fixed nominal fee for all preventative care and receive a 25 perecent discount off regular fees.

On Long Island, ProHEALTH Dental is affiliated with ProHEALTH Care Associates, a 900-physician practice serving more than 1.2 million patients at 300 locations mostly on the island. Through this affiliation, ProHEALTH Dental focuses on the importance of good oral health.

“We believe that this is the model of the future,” ProHEALTH Dental CEO Norton Travis said in a written statement. “It’s time to break down the historical barrier between medicine and dentistry and have these important healthcare professionals work together to improve the oral and overall health of their patients.”
