Thomas C. “Tommy” Devine Jr., 52, a longtime resident of Rockville Centre, died on March 26. A 1977 graduate of South Side High School, he went on to graduate in 1981 with a degree in Communications from the State University at New Paltz.

He married Joanne Stutzmann shortly after college and they settled in a home on Harvard Avenue. They raised three loving children, Erin Piver (wife of Hoyt), Thomas and Michael.

Tommy and his siblings, Betsy Devine, Nancy (Tom) Ricupero and Gene (Jamie) Devine were raised in Rockville Centre by their parents, Loretta Anne, known as “Jeff,” and Thomas C. Devine, who predeceased his son in 1987.

After moving to South Carolina, pursued his love of cooking and became a chef at a country club in Hilton Head. He enjoyed playing the piano and guitar and often entertained others with his music.

Tommy is also survived by his friend, Julie, and many nieces and nephews.
