Seaford High School seniors got some good news late last month when district officials announced that limited graduation ceremonies will take place.
The ceremonies, which are only open to graduating seniors and family members, will take place on the lawn in front of the high school on Aug. 6, Seaford Schools Superintendent Dr. Adele Pecora said.
Each senior may designate two accompanying family members, Pecora said. All attendees must wear masks or other appropriate face coverings.
The senior class will be divided into four sections, in accordance with social distancing rules, and each ceremony will last about two hours, district media representatives said last week. The first ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Seniors, parents and family members should contact Seaford High School for details, at (516) 592-4380, or online, at https://www.seaford.k12.ny.us/seafordhigh, including rain dates and ceremony assignments.
