A storm blew through Baldwin on Thursday, dropping a wintery mix of snow and sleet throughout the day.
Between three to five inches of snow had accumulated by around 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
The storm was minor compared to the previous two to hit the area, including a nor’easter on Feb. 1 that dropped more than a foot of snow onto the neighborhood.
Hempstead Town Councilman Chris Carini shared a message on Facebook, advising residents to try to keep cars off the streets, if possible, to allow for crews to plow the streets from curb to curb.
Long Island and the greater New York metropolitan area was under a winter storm watch for Thursday into Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
