Nassau County police arrested a Uniondale woman on June 12 for the alleged assault of a 19-year-old woman on Hawthorne Avenue in Uniondale.
Armanda Valles, 30, was in an argument with the woman outside of Valles’ home at around 7:20 p.m. when she began hitting the woman in the legs with brass knuckles, according to police. When the woman tried to run away, Valles allegedly slashed her below the knee with a knife.
The woman was able to run away from the scene and was later taken to a nearby hospital. As of present time, she is in stable condition, police said.
Valles was charged with two counts of assault and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned on June 13.
