Roosevelt Ave. deli burglarized, police say

Three men reportedly burglarized a deli on the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Cochran Place, police said, early on Jan. 21.

According to detectives, an employee at the deli discovered its front door lock had been cut and called the police. Officers reportedly discovered that a cash register, small safe and ATM machine had been stolen, and all three had contained an undisclosed amount of cash.

Video surveillance showed that around 1:45 a.m. three men had used a red power saw to cut the front-door lock of the deli, and after entering, left in a white four-door sedan east on Roosevelt, north on Rockaway Avenue and then west on Sunrise Highway.

Police described the first suspect as wearing grey camouflage pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and black boots. He was wearing gloves and a mask over his face. The second suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the “E.T.” logo on the back, as well as a blue neck pillow and black sneakers. He too was reportedly wearing gloves and a mask as well as a blue hat. The third suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black sneakers. He was also wearing gloves and a mask.
