Valley Stream teen arrested for robbery at gun point

Joseph Kamari, 16, of Valley Stream, was arrested for robbing a Chinese delivery boy on April 7 at 6:45 p.m.

According to Nassau County police, the 25-year-old male victim was making deliveries for a local Chinese restaurant around Washington Avenue and Lyon Street when Kamari approached him. Kamari displayed a handgun, reached into the victim’s pocket and stole a small zippered bag containing an undisclosed amount of money before he fled the scene on foot, police said.

Kamari was charged with robbery in the first-degree and criminal possession a weapon in the fourth-degree. He was scheduled to be arraigned on April 8 at the First District Court in Hempstead.
