A Levittown woman has been arrested following a domestic dispute that led to an alleged assault, Nassau County Police said.

Police responded to a 911 call about an assault involving a weapon in Levittown at around 9:20 p.m. on Oct. 22. Officers arrived at the scene and found blood in several rooms of the home, though no one was present. It was later discovered that a 29-year-old man had sought treatment at a local hospital.

Detectives say Marienny Yanez, 29, confronted the man with two knives after an argument about ending their relationship. She allegedly lunged at him, causing a laceration to his forearm as he tried to defend himself. Both knives were dropped, and Yanez accompanied the man to the hospital, where she was arrested without incident.

Yanez faces charges of assault, criminal mischief, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. She will be arraigned on Oct. 23 at First District Court in Hempstead.
