A New Jersey man was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon on Dec. 5 in Inwood, police said.
Nassau police officers saw a black Honda Accord traveling south on Sheridan Boulevard at the intersection of Doughty Boulevard.
Police stopped the vehicle and through the subsequent investigation recovered marijuana and a loaded semi-automatic unregistered firearm, “Ghost Gun” was from inside the car.
Shemar Freire, 22, of Union City, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of cannabis, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations. He will be arraigned on Dec. 6 at First District Court in Hempstead.
