A car was overturned during an accident on Derrick Atkins Road in Lakeview on Thursday morning.

Both occupants were safely removed from the vehicle and were on stretchers by the fire department’s paramedics and county police EMS. No serious injuries were reported.

The Lakeview Fire Department responded to a car crash that involved an overturned vehicle on Thursday morning.
Two people were trapped in the overturned car after the accident, which occurred on Derrick Atkins Road. Firefighters and Nassau County police officers worked together to remove two occupants from the overturned vehicle. Both were then put on stretchers by the fire department’s paramedics and county police EMS.
No serious injuries were reported. Police are now investigating the cause of the accident.
