Cars decorated with black and yellow balloons drove past West Hempstead High School during the school’s car parade for the class of 2020 on June 5. Parents, teachers and administrators held up signs to congratulate their hardworking seniors.
Some students even donned their graduation mortarboard as part of the celebration. Many of the students were also thrilled to see their teachers in-person for the first time since the district transitioned to stay-at-home learning in March.
