Residents filled the streets on Hempstead Avenue and Woodlawn Road in West Hempstead as the West Hempstead Community Support Association held its annual Memorial Day Parade on May 31.
The parade, which was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, featured veterans from Cathedral Post 1087, Boy Scout Troop 240 and the West Hempstead Fire Department, among other community groups.
