The Village of Malverne held its annual Memorial Day ceremony at Chester A. Reese Veterans Memorial Park on May 31. While it looked like it would rain that morning, village leaders and veterans from Malverne American Legion Post 44 carried out the ceremony.
The ceremony, which was also broadcast on Malverne TV, featured a limited audience. However, those who were able to take part in the ceremony were happy to be among each other with the hopes of the coronavirus pandemic ending soon. The message of honoring the village's fallen heroes was evident throughout the event.
