Student members of the Davison Avenue Intermediate School’s Special Forces collected and donated 55 boxes of cereal to the Hempstead nonproit Family and Children’s Association in honor of ‘Better Breakfast Month,’ which aims to promote eating a healthy breakfast.

The students donated popular cereals, such as Frosted Flakes, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruity Pebbles and Lucky Charms to the food pantry of the organization.

“The Malverne Union Free School District applauds the Davison Avenue family for their efforts in this worthy cause,” the district said in the statement.
