Students at Malverne’s Howard T. Herber Middle School brought energy and enthusiasm on May 5 and put their school spirit on full display at the school’s annual Sports Day.
The sixth, seventh and eighth grade teams took part in a series of games and challenges, including soccer, dizzy bat, beanbag shotput, water bucket relay, trivia, STEM tower building, name that tune and more.
The competition was fierce, but as the day ended, the eighth graders were awarded first place overall. Coming in a very close second was the seventh grade team with the sixth graders taking a not-too-distant third place.
