The Malverne Chamber of Commerce held its annual Bunny Hop Saturday, April 8. Aside from a visit from the Easter bunny, the event gives businesses a chance to interact with families.
The event has grown so much that the chamber now starts at the gazebo with music, giveaways, photos and more. The chamber mascot, Chamber Champ, leads folks through the village where businesses hand out Easter eggs, toys, and more.
This year, 10 baskets were donated by chamber members for the annual raffle.
“This business-building event allows our chamber members an opportunity to introduce their business or reach out to current clients, building relationships and goodwill along the way,” said Maria Casini, president of the Malverne Chamber of Commerce.
“We were so happy to see hundreds and hundreds of people smiling and enjoying our village while connecting with the many chamber businesses that made this free event possible,” Casini added.
This year, new chamber member Wacky Racers introduced their ATV cars. San-Dee Lanes gave out free bowling cards and Maquina 37 helped reinforce the sense of community by offering free custom buttons. Village Plaza Realty hired a balloon shaper who made hundreds of balloon animals, Missy Baked Goods gave away cookies, and MEA CR Beauty attached many hair links to excited children’s hair.
