A beautiful Memorial Day saw Baldwin put its best foot forward. Heading up a respectful parade that still allowed for some fun was the Baldwin American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Valley Stream North High School hosted a cultural fair on March 29 in the all-purpose room. There were numerous cultural performances, displays about different countries and lots of food to taste.
The Valley Stream Recreation Department hosted its annual Easter egg hunt on April 7 at Hendrickson Park. After the event was rained out the previous weekend, this time there was sunny skies. Dozens of children participated in the event, and gold and silver egg finders received special prizes.
