After an unprecedented tie in the contest for one seat on the North Bellmore Board of Education forced a runoff election, incumbent JoAnn DeLauter defeated Frank LaMagra in the second vote on June 25. North Bellmorites will have three options to chose from for the second seat: incumbent Rosemarie Corless, Peter Mayo or Greg Bashaw. The fate of the five candidates will be at the polls at Newbridge Road Elementary School. more
