North Bellmore doughnut shop is robbed

The Dunkin Donuts at 1526 Newbridge Road in North Bellmore was robbed on March 16 at around 10:30 p.m., according to Nassau County police.

The robber entered the eatery, slid behind the counter and withdrew a small handgun. He then demanded that the counter employee empty the cash register into a Dunkin Donuts bag. After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber ordered the employee to lie on the floor. Then he ran off.

The uninjured victim described the perpetrator as a black man, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, dark blue hoodie, black ski mask and gloves.
