Bellmore students practice bus safety

The Bellmore School District’s youngest students recently learned how to keep themselves safe while riding the bus.
The safety program was held at the Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center. Reinhard is home to Bellmore’s kindergarten, first- and second-grade students.
The children were taught proper bus safety procedures on Sept. 17 at a special program at which officials reminded students about correct bus stop behavior, proper conduct while riding the bus, and the orderly procedure for boarding and getting off the bus, as well as how to exit the bus in case of emergency.
