Bellmore United Methodist Church to honor 9/11 first responders

On Sunday, the Bellmore United Methodist Church will honor first responders with a 9/11 remembrance and recognition service.

As part of the celebration, the congregation, led by Pastor Dyanne will bless children going back to school

The church is extending a special invitation to first responders in Bellmore and our neighboring communities. The worship service will pat attention to the work of first responders, and continue to offer blessings to those who seek to help our communities.

A special fellowship, which will include refreshments, will follow the 10 a.m. service at the church, 2655 Clarendon Ave.

The church hopes to pay tribute to those who perished in the 9/11 disaster, and at the same time, celebrate the lives of the emergency first responders.
