This Saturday night, the Laughter Saves Lives Foundation will host a live online comedy show to benefit first responders and medical personnel on the front lines  of the coronavirus pandemic.

Founder John Larocchia, of Bellmore, a former New York City fireman and stand-up comedian, will act as the evening's host as nearly 20 comics grace the virtual stage to give audiences a much-needed laugh.

During the four-hour special, viewers can make donations via PayPal on  the foundation's website. The proceeds will be used to purchase N95 masks for first responders and hospital workers battling through the pandemic.

The show will be streamed on Saturday, April 11 from 6 to 10 p.m. on Facebook and YouTube at Strong Island Television.
