Calhoun soccer squad sweeps at awards night

The Nassau County Soccer Coaches Association held its annual awards dinner at the Marriott in Uniondale on Dec. 7 to name All-County and All-Conference honorees, and Calhoun High School had a contingent of players who were recognized. From Calhoun were, from left, Coach Jim Cantley, Alejandro Miguel, Brian Grambo, Andrew LaClaustra, Alex Ras, Assistant Coach Salvador Montoya, Andrew Lief, Elliott Ullrich and Dan Elliot. Also, Grambo earned the Scholar-Athlete Award, LaClaustra was named an All-State honoree, and Lief received honorable mention for the Class AA Award.
