Calhoun’s On Tour Company reaching out to Haiti

Posted

Calhoun High School students are reaching out to help those touched by the disaster in Haiti. Calhoun is beginning relief efforts this weekend with the On Tour Company's production of "On The Razzle," collecting donations for Yele Haiti, an internationally recognized aid agency.

There will be a table set up in the lobby where people will be able to help in two ways – donating cash or texting a donation from a cell phone. Millions of dollars have already been raised throughout the United States via texting. Anyone contributing via text message is asked to sign in at the table to help the Calhoun community keep track of how much money is raised. Students will be collecting donations at all four performances of "On The Razzle."

Performances will take place in the Calhoun High School auditorium, 1786 State St., on Jan. 15-16 and 22-23, at 7:30 p.m.
