Posted

A North Bellmore woman was arrested and charged recently with performing an unlicensed massage, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Zhao Jiw Ling, 50, was apprehended at 8:15 p.m. on July 24 at an unnamed storefront at 1891 Bellmore Ave., where, officials said, she illegally massaged an undercover police officer for an amount of money they agreed upon.

Police said Ling did not have a license to perform massages. They added that she was arrested without incident.

Chris Munzing, a Nassau County District Attorney’s Office spokesman, said Ling is unauthorized to practice in the massage profession. She was arraigned in First District Court on July 25 and released on her own recognizance.

Ling is represented by an attorney from the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County, which does not comment on cases. She was most recently in court on Wednesday.
