Elmont man killed in Bellmore crash

An Elmont man died in a motorcycle accident in Bellmore on Friday, according to the New York State Police Department.
A county emergency medical technician pronounced Omar Roman, 36, dead at the scene on the Southern State Parkway at 1:15 a.m. on May 29. Police said he was ejected from his bike near exit 25, Newbridge Road.
Roman was traveling west on the parkway at high speed, police said, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. He hit the center median guard rail and fell off the bike.
Authorities are investigating.
