Calhoun High School wrestling alumnus Mac Maldarelli, at left, on top, who is finishing up his studies at Nassau Community College, took second place in his weight class at the National Junior College Athletic Association Men’s Wrestling Championship in Rochester, Minn., this past weekend, earning him the coveted title of All-American. Maldarelli wrestled varsity all fours years at Calhoun, was team captain in 11th and 12th grades and won the county championship in the 145-pound weight class in 2010.
