The Guardian Brain Foundation, an organization with headquarters in Bellmore that provides support services to children and adults with brain tumors and injuries, and helps to advance neuroscience research, held its seventh annual Butterfly Ball at the Carltun Restaurant in Eisenhower Park in East Meadow recently.
This year's theme was "Going Green." Throughout the night, guests received tips on how to save the environment and engage in healthy living. The evening included a silent auction, dinner, drinks, awards and special remarks by State Assemblyman David McDonough, Republican from Merrick.
