Holiday Traditions

“Candlelight” Evenings
The holiday season is celebrated in the style of bygone days, in what has become a grand Long Island holiday tradition. For those who have not yet had an opportunity to enjoy 19th century music and entertainment, in the ambiance of flickering candlelight, the festivities continue through Thursday. Tour the candlelit homes and hear stories of Christmases past, retold each night, along with musical entertainment, traditional American dancing, a bonfire, and refreshments. The Village will be closed during the day for this event. Visitors are welcome to bring flashlights to guide their way.
Sunday through Thursday, Dec. 26-30, 5-9:30 p.m. $10, $7 children and seniors. Old Bethpage Village Restoration, Round Swamp Rd., Old Bethpage. (516) 572-8400.
