How to sign up for legislative emails, amid census-driven change

Posted

Following the census conduceted every 10 years, changes have been made to Nassau County Legislative District boundaries, effective Jan. 1.

If receiving emails from a district legislator, check the listed district number and update email subscriptions, if needed, in order to continue receiving bulletins from the legislator. This can be done via the following steps:

To look up a district, enter a home address on the following Nassau County website page NassauCountyNY.gov. The district information will be found on the “My Nassau Info” tab of the page returned, in the “County” section.

With this information, subscriptions can be updated by logging into the email portal and update as necessary, and to do this, visit the subscriber's preference page. Enter an appropriate email address to which messages are currently being received and click the “Submit” button.

On the returned page, select the new district and deselect the old. This is also an opportunity to enable receiving messages from any of the other agencies listed.

To receive emails, sign up via the email link provided on the legislator’s County webpage, accessible via the link provided in the “Nassau County Legislature" tab.
