Kids craft chocolate masterpieces at the North Bellmore Library

Posted

The North Bellmore Library hosted two sessions of "Chocolate Sculpture" on Friday, Feb. 19. The library expanded from one session, available for 24 children, to two because of the high interest in the event, said Jane Sullivan, head of children's services.

The Baking Coach of Smithtown helped the children construct their chocolate sculptures. The children used marshmallows, Rice Krispies treats, pretzels, Mini-Wheats and, of course, chocolate to build their sculptures. The kids also decorated boxes at the start of the event to put their sculptures in later.
