Language students reach out to soup kitchen

Mepham High School’s Languages Other Than English classes recently took part in numerous activities during National Foreign Language Week, March 7 to 11. Students in the French and Italian honor societies celebrated the week by donating snacks, drinks, bread, and peanut butter and jelly to charity. They prepared 100 bagged lunches that were given to The Interfaith Nutrition Network soup kitchen in Hempstead. At left, the students with the food they donated.
