N. Bellmore man, 23, killed in head-on crash

A 23-year-old North Bellmore man is dead after suffering multiple injuries in a head-on collision on Friday.

Robert Lazos died on Friday at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital, according to published reports.

Lazos was headed north in a 2005 black Mazda on Route 106 at 5:30 p.m. when his vehicle slammed into a 2006 gray Nissan headed south, according to Nassau County Police. Authorities have not identified the driver of the Nissan, who survived the crash. Police said there is no apparent criminality involved in the case.
