Nassau County Police officers and ambulance medical technicians delivered twin boys in North Bellmore on June 18.

First Precinct officers and two AMTs arrived at the Gina Court home of a 29-year-old expectant mother at 9:37 a.m. last Wednesday. Police said the first baby was born before they could move the woman to an ambulance. He was delivered on the home’s front lawn. His brother was born in the ambulance, which transported the family to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.

Officials said the unidentified woman and her sons were healthy and resting comfortably at press time.
